Thanks to your support over this past year, 2 of our Council Candidates, Ethan Byers and Jeanne Cooper, have secured a victory and flipped 2 council seats from red to blue! We had a genuinely staggering turnout this year, and we want to thank all of our amazing volunteers who have given weeks of their lives to help make this happen! We also want to give a special thanks to Brad Chambers and Rob Misciagna, who advised our campaign, and Aimie Kellers and Mike Flanery, our Campaign Manager and Treasurer. They have worked over the last 6 years to build up Columbia’s Democratic campaigns, and without their work over the years we would not have picked up these seats.
As for Kyle and Jasmine, despite the narrow defeats, they both remain committed to our town and will continue to fight for equality, affordable housing, and a better quality of life through their work on the Columbia Democratic Committee, Zoning Hearing Board, and non-profits that uplift our town. We have built incredible momentum over the last year and will continue it into 2026 for Brad’s State House campaign, 2027 where we will flip 4 more seats on the Council, and into the future!
We believe that government is only right when it is working for EVERYONE, not just the wealthy. As candidates for Columbia Borough Council and Mayor, we are committed to building a government that actually benefits Columbia's residents, tackling the difficult issues in our community and helping protect our neighbors in their times of need.
